Default HELP NO Brake lights. i replaced bulbs & fuse

Hi

i attached a trailer to my car AU II, i plug the trailer cable. and tested the brake lights and noticed my brake lights on my car dont work any more. i checked the fuse its fine but it was a 10 amp fuse and i looked in manual its meant to be 15amp fuse. so i put in 15 amp and bought new bulbs and still nothing working

please any help will be greatful or any ideas

Brake light switch that's situated on the brake pedal. Very common problem

awesome thanx Dezza. i will be buying a wire tester 2moro and check that brake light switch could it be anything else?. i was worried that the whole wiring got fried

Where is this beastly switch? Is it easy to get to? Car on a hoist?

Don't need the car on a hoist. the switch is up under the dash, drivers side footwell. attaches to the brake pedal.

It's not that bad to change and takes only a minute and the part is about $12

i dont know about other people but ive had to replace the switch every 2 years in my moms au the aftermarket replacement parts seem of lesser quality.
