Hi...I have a 97 EL Gli, manual with a few mods, I want to put a bigger cam in it and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what kind and price...thx.

I looked into it about 12 months back, I think I was looking at Crow Cams, they suggested a mild to mid depending on what you wanted to do, e.g. towing, street racing etc. They also suggested that I go with the adjustable timing sprocket.
The cam was about $450 and I think the sprocket was about $180 - $200. You can find Crow Cams on the web. |

you can get regrind cams from wade cams fro about the 120-140 dollar mark, which is what alot of people on these forums run in their 6's

I would recommend the Wade 1004 for a regular driver as it will out perform the Crow St-3 and give you better idle quality. BUT for an outright performance cam, ring Brenden down at Jim's Fishing & Marine... Oh sh|t, I mean Jim Mock Motorsport, or post in their section on here.
I tried 5 different cams in my EL before I was ever happy and the Crow was so far behind the others when it came to idle quality it aint worth it
