Hi,
I have a 1999 Ford Forte Au Wagon. The car has been recently serviced but the spanner is still up on the dash. Is there some way to turn this off without taking it to Ford and paying the extortion? Or does the spanner on the dash mean that something is wrong? Thanks, Chronic |

Put the key to the on position, with the engine off.
Hold down the stalk for 10 seconds....done ![]()

To Reset The Warning Service Light (Spanner Icon)
- Press and hold Odometer Reset while ignition is off. - Turn Ignition to on. - Hold Odometer Reset in until you hear a Beep or the wrench disappears. |

Bit ironic really when you think about it. With all the hi tech crap you need to servic and diagnose faults in modern cars, they use an open ended spanner as the service reminder .........
