Question What are these plugs for ????

When taking the spare weel out of the boot the other day , i noticed 2 long wires going into the well where the spare wheel sits , i think if i remember rightlly 1 had a female plug on it , and the other 1 had a male plug on it , neither were plugged into anything . Does anyone know what these plugs are for ?

There may have been a subwoofer in a fibreglass enclosure in there perhaps.

looks like too many wires on each plug to be for a subwoofer , was at least 6 or more wires joined to each plug .

If your car was an ex taxi it would be for the lights on the boot lid sign.......As your car is not an ex taxi, I would be thinking stereo too.

Do all Au's without the tow pack still have the trailer adaptor cables in the car?

Yes. Sort of. The harness clip is there, so if you buy the Ford trailer plug adaptor, it just clips straight into the loom. I have one sitting around somewhere (off Bucky's car!!)
