Default Roof racks - EA to EF, interchangeable?

Hi, Im chasing a set of roof racks for my EF. Found a couple advertised in the paper off of EA's.

Anyone know if an EA roof rack would fit, I would have thought the roof line would be pretty similar between the two.

Cheers,

I dunno could be different or are they adjustable? I have a pair that have been sitting in the garage for 12 years, back when dad had a new ED. We tried to put them on an XF once but they were way too short, not too sure about ED to EF though.

According to www.rhinorack.com.au they list different part numbers for Early eseries vs late eseries.

Yeah, thanks EA2BA, thought of that after I posted.

Checked the rola roof racks site and they also have different part numbers for each model. The search continues....

You might be able to adapt it; the differences are very slight.

Yes they are identical only early ea eb are shorter
down the bottom as later eb ed el etc are slightly
longer as the wiper motor sits lower , i converted
my ea to later screen & converted the wiper arms
& linkages & motor from a el to a ea as my car is a
gt lookalike.
The later air intake shroud fits straight in & gives the
car a much later model look.
