Hi Guys,
You are probably sick of all the central locking problems posted, but guess what... Here's another one :P Ok to start from the begining. I have a late 94 ED Fairmont with some serious lock problems. When we first got the car we were'nt been able to use the remote control as the car locks then automatically unlocks again. No drama's with that as the remote's pretty dinged up anyways. I've also never been able to lock the car from the central locking control panel inside the car either. It also locks then automatically unlocks again. Then we were'nt able to lock the car via the passenger side door (it does the same as above) so I can only lock the car via the drivers door. As of late we've had problems with the electric window wires snapping so have had to change the whole electric window unit on 3 doors. This is where the problem is mainly at. Every time a door skin is removed and replaced the door lock buttons just refuse to work and now just sit loose in the locked position. Plus the drivers side passenger door refuses to lock at all! As you can see we've been having a great run : (PS: I have actually posted this in 2 forums on this site, I feel this is probably the better place to have posted it) |
