Default ford redundencies 2023

I know there are a few Fordies on the forum. I know some of you by name and by avatar, and some I don't know, but I'd like to take to take the opportunity to wish everyone well. Whether you jumped, were pushed, or remain please know that you will be remembered by the Ranger and Everest legacy

best wishes

voluntary ex-Fordie.

Big thumbs up to all you guys.

From PX to Next Gen, I've owned a number of them now they have all been great cars... Some let down by Thailand manufacturing, but mostly a good experience.

Best of luck and thank you.

Does this mean the end of Aussie developed Ranger's?

Cripes I will have to message a few old mates and see what's happening, so ranger is off the cards what is?

To all the people that have worked there over the years thank you, it would not have been an easy environment.

not yet. when I left in May it was part of a planned downturn as we had just completed Next Gen launch in 7 plants and didn't need to many to deliver the next cycles, but after that came head office directive to cut 25% arbitrarily :(

officially Australia still own and lead T6 development, but with so many jobs lost, and so much work going to India, Brazil, China and the US it's hard to believe it will last much longer.

Sorry to hear the news.

I remember Spymans sneak FG and FGX photos posted on here, I always assumed he was a Fordie too.

Sadly no, remember those also, sadly it was raised awhile back that this would be the last aus ranger and was laughed off as bull , yanks can’t have another country do what they do but better, falcon to the us? Commodore to Chevy ss?
Maybe it’s my pessimism kicking in but I won’t be surprised that it’s all gone in 5 years..
