cut an inch off the height off the airbox all the way around in the centre ( like a 1 inch sleeve size ) , then super glue the 2 halfs back together again ..lol , thats 1 way of making it lower ..lol , and get a BA snorkle to fit the BA box too ! . .gl

lol , i dunno , your the one who said "piping is all wrong need a custom one, where the breather meets the box is all wrong " , so i gathered you meant the AU snorkle conecting to the airbox , i really havent had a propper look a the BA intake system to clarify this , was just going off what ya said ;) . I've seen on here people who have fitted a BA airbox have usually butchered the intake piping setup into the box ( from the t/b ) and added a pod in the box setup , as the angle coming off the BA airbox is wrong too to suit the AU airpipe to the t/b

I think i remember seeing the thread that someone else had made it fit, they originally had the same problem with the bonnet just not closing, I cant remember which member it was , but i think they 'cut out' an area or 'totally removed' the heat shield bonnet lining from memory. Also see if the bonnet can go up a little more too , if so then raise the rubber lugs a turn or 2 at the front corners under the bonnet , every mm helps ..gl , nice job too ;) . wd

also the heat shield lining stuff i wont be removing just cause i dont want to make any changes that cant be undone...thats just me cause its my car and it possibly might work but wont happen...also for what it is the DTE has gone up about 10k but i can definently feel a difference in throtle response but the old filter was crappy paper and full of crap and the new one is hardly touched FalconSR

last update for this mod
the curve in the front quarter panel means that the height of the engine bay drops too much for the taller BA box - i had a BA for a while so i had a look taking out its box and measuring anyways BA box in AU only needs...custom mount for the top two connector things thats it.. without it the box shakes like a dog and all bolts in and the bonnet dont close and snorkle wont fit without modification in the end if i payed for the box i wouldnt have paid for the supercheap auto pipe cause it would have been around $100 all up for this mod it cost me $30 for everything and was pretty much worth it...considering this prob does more than the tickford snorkle for around the same price.. relatively easy mod just need to know what doing, and be good with metal work or plastic for the mount and done...then you could sell off your old box and fund the new project....Interior.... What is the benefits from changing the airbox over though ... there really isn't much difference between the BA and AU with final power figures really ... the thing that will make the difference is changing the pipe between the airbox to the throttle body to a smooth mandrel bent item.
One reason why i haven't spent the cash in changing my airbox over ... also i have a balance pipe in mine (although i could get a BA EGAS airbox to suit I guess)
