Default Tax back and its paint time!

Well i got my tax return back, just shy of a grand and im wrapped. Im going to paint my car with the money. Now im looking for the best and cheapest painter to do it. Can anyone recommend someone in the western area of vic (werribee, hoppers or even geelong) that can paint my car, keeping in mind that the paint on my car is not original and is a custom paint. So any help, with numbers and location would be much appreciated. Thanks!

$1300 doesnt sound like to unreasonable a budget taking into mind the all doors, front and rear 1/4 panels, roof and boot wont be sprayed.

Just depends how 'custom' this paint is and how hard it is to match/blend it with the rest of the panels.

it looks to be the factory Heritage green with loads of gold pearl over.....it looks quite good but i dont know how easy it would be to match...

im also unsure of how close to the 1000 - 1300 you'd get....remember, you get what you pay for

I know a guy in Croydon who is an ex panel beater - he has repaired my mates cars and they have had no issues and he will be re-painting my charger.

But thats prob too far................

its a mear portion of the car and 1300 is quite reasonable IMO

I was quoted about 6 months ago to paint the front bar, rear bar and supply + fit + paint the RH side skirt and that was 1200. Now factor out the sideskirt as mine has been repaired, labour to change it etc, and not to mention that mob i went to wasnt cheap either.

you'll get it done easily for that much.
i had 4 doors and boot lid done + blending done for $900.
get a few cash quotes from places in the area and see what they say

find someone you know who is a first or second year apprentice as a spray painter, get them to take it along to tafe when they go to trade school. i had my rear bar, boot sprayed, clear blended and completely assembelled for under 120 dollars(only paying for materials), mind you there was significant damage to one of the corners just above the left tailight. the job should be generally decent as it is ticked off as a module that the apprentice has to pass.

if you want a cheap job, sand it paint it prep it and prime it by your self then get someone who knows how to spray to, put a quick coat on it.
