If the fuse is 20A then all the wires and relay etc. should be rated to 20amps or greater so the fuse is the weakest link and will melt/blow before anything else can. My foggies are 55watt each and I used 15amp wiring and a 10amp fuse and have never had a prob with the fuse handling the current. I used a Hella relay which has a blade fuse (holder) built into it so you just stick the fuse straight into the relay - makes install/wiring a little easier/neater. Steve. |

The front fog light positive 'feed' is taken from the PARK lights (Position/Sidelights). This means that IF the actual front fog light switch is ON, AND IF the HEADLIGHT SWITCH is on PARK, then the front fogs and park lights will be on.... that we understand..... NOW, THEY (the fogs) WILL STAY ON IF YOU THEN MOVE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH TO LOW OR HIGH-BEAM. Unless, you then switch off the actual front fog light switch! Under ADR/UNECE Regs this is the appropriate and therefore required at law - wiring method! Why? 'Park' lights are actually 'position' lights in ADR/UNECE/FMVSS108 Regulations, and remain on EVEN when your low and high-beam are activated, they are designed to do that to show up the front of your vehicles outline should the low beam bulb filament fail. DO use the relay. Choose a Compliant front fog light set.
