Getting Sum New Rims Next Couple Of Weeks Have 18 By 235 18 By 265 What Is The Diff In Handling Ride And Wear And Tear Between 19 And 20s Looking At New 19 Bf Typhoon Rims Or 20 Black Verde Kaos Will The 20 Be To Big On The Au Will It Cause Problems

i am running 19's.
The only reason I didn't want to change to 20s was due to ride quality and speed error. |

partie i've have 16's, 17's, 19's and 20's. Theres no difference between 19's and 20's with ride quality. Get the 20's if thats the look you're after. The kaos are a nice rim.

stick to 19's for the au's, there big enuff. There is a difference in ride quality bumps feel harder with 20's, the tyres are generally 225 which look ugly as, if u get 30 profile hope u have good shocks cos its like being on a skateboard otherwise. 35's are out now buy i dont know if u'll get em under ur guard on an AU, my mate is having plenty of trouble with his 20's continously scraping the tyres on the boby.

I wouldn't go bigger then 19s you can't fit wide enough tyres on a 20.

Ride quality is not an issue with 19's or 20's as mentioned.
The issue imo is fat or skinny, 20's look great side on but skinny from the rear....having owned both sizes many times I prefer 19's.... Can get a 9.5"rim at the rear with a 275 tyre,now that's the look !

nankang has a 245 30 profile 20" tyre out now
and fits FINE on a BA XR6T which has hte same upper ball joint issue our AUs have my car has NO issues on 20s 20x8.5 with 245/35 on the rear and 225/30 on the front(untill they wear out then its 245 30 all round for me  the ONLY thing that is an issue is the cost and availability of tyres

yeah, but there cheap and alot of people agree with you, meaning there too common. I wish I could get a set of my old TSW's in 19"s

Im glad i went 20's over 19's as 19's are far more common and for me i feel its good to be different.
Ride comfort seems fine to me, i have had no complaints of it being too bumpy/rough. Only issue is depending how much you lower it, if you go too low like i did you will rub your guards with the tyres. I went and got the gaurds rolled and i havent had an issue since, even with it still at a very low height.

FWIW, I'm happy with my 18's, but wouldn't want any more than 19's on my AU.....if for nothing else than it's too bloody expensive for 20" tyres!!!
