Default Horn issues

Hi all,

Bit of an issue with my horn in the car. The stupid thing has jammed on and won't stop going. I've disconnected it for now but was wondering what it may be. I've read that it could be the air bag, which has already been replaced around 6 months ago so I'm hoping it isn't that.

Any other ideas?

Cheers,
Andrew

more than likely the horn switch inside the airbag assembly, either that or a short in the clock spring, was the airbag replaced with a new one?

I had this problem too. Went to toot hello to some hot chicks and the horn stuck on. Every time i punched it, it was like pressing it off, but then it was still stuck on. Just stopped doing it after a while. Never had a prob since...

had the same prob with my horn, I had taken it to ford and had an airbag specialist out to have a look and they all said it was the airbag, what happens is the buttons underneath the pad get stuck and they can't be fixed. So anyway I got another airbag form ebay and got it fitted for $36.00 and the problem is now fixed.

Thats whats happening. I'll take it to my mechanic when I get a chance.

Mate you need to take it to an auto electrician not a mechanic.
