Default What oil in 06 focus

Did a search but "oil" wont come up for some reason.
Want to put new oil in before a trip, and the manual dosent state what viscosity oil to use.
Cheers

You can't be looking in the right place. The manual does have it (in fact all car manuals would cover that info). Nevermind.

I have found from experience that what the manual says isn't necessarily what the dealer puts in either. The manual with my Zetec says I have to put in 5W30, however when I quizzed the dealer, they put in Havoline but not 5W30. The commented that it is up to the dealers as to who they have individual deals with, some Shell, some Caltex etc.

I put Castol Edge in and it did the job.

I wouldn't go any higher than 10w for the focus, but hey I've put 20w50 in a Suzuki Swift GTi to see what would happen, and it wasn't any different, I was actually expecting the oil pump to die, too bad it never happened.
