Hey all
I'm thinking of changing the front seats in my AU1 as they provide 0 back support. Has anyone done this, what options are there and what sort of prices. I've looking on eBay but they just dont have what im after. Jeff

I swapped my seats for AU1 XR6 seats, they give good support. I can't remember for the life of me what I paid at the wreckers though, sorry dude!

just get them custom retrimmed and bolstered with extra lumber suport.
500-2000 will get what you want.

could go really tight and lazy and just do the drivers seat..... its the only one you use
im not sure about support but my AUIII SR or forte seat is damn comfy..... good circulation on 3hr trips on North QLD roads too....the higher spec cars may provide alot more support dunno

How do those Recaro and alike seats you see every month in the autobarn catalogs compare? They seem to be cheap enough, and theres seems to be enough options to find something to match your interior?

Agree with the others, the XR seats are quite good.

I find the XR seats are decent in the lower squab across the hips but the base could use some more bolstering.

Go the XR route ... and if you can afford it ... go to a trimmer with them and get them re-bolstered.
If i can afford it ... I'll be going this route ... or just getting my current seats re-done and retrimmed at the same time to suit the door trims.
