Default aufalcon.com - New feature: Groups

Hi everyone,

A new feature has been added to the website.

It is known as "Groups". Since we're already a club, I thought it'd be good to be able to allow members to belong to different groups. Here are some examples:

Melbourne AU Group
Sydney T-Series Club
The Perth Montys
AU Long Wheelbase Group

They are just example names for groups.

A new "My Groups" feature can be found in the My Account menu when logged in.

You can create a group, edit it, remove yourself from it and become a manager, etc.

Only one manager can exist per group and management positions are transferable between members. If you're a manager and you want to give that responsibility to someone else, you have to remove yourself from the group first, then the other person and jump in as manager, and then you re-join the group. A group can exist without a manager.

You can belong to up to five groups.

There is a new "Groups" link in the top right main menu and this will list all groups and list members in a selected group.

Groups have also been integrated with Events, so when you create an event, you can select a group to link it with.

Regards,

Andrew.

Before you create a group, it might be a good idea to approach the people you think might be good for it and see if you get enough people interested to go ahead with it.

Dunno if it was just me or if it's a bug in the database doolie or whatnot, just to let u know

Thanks for the bug report, Ayeyew - that problem has been fixed. You can re-join the group and become manager, etc.

Thanks Blackers, I'll try and think of a name.

Team Black - "it's cos I'm black innit?!" - for all Silhouette coloured AU's

XR8 Owner's Group - for all XR8 owners regardless of model or series.
