Hi all.
I started this poll, because recently I had my front bar repaired and resprayed, but to do this I had to remove the stripes from the front. Now I'm undecided on whether to put them back on or not? Here are some pics of before and after so that you can compare; Before: Now: I also am running another poll on whether you think I've finished polishing my intake and assorted bits yet? The more I polish the effin thing the better it gets, there doesn't seem to be a bloody end to it (P.S Before you guys point it out, yes I know I'm missing my 5 litre plate lol) All opinions welcome ppl :

Personally, I don't like stripes but if you are going to have them you should put them back on the front bar or it looks bare. And your engine bay looks great to me.

If the front pods and side skirts wern't painted blue as well I would probably say to leave them on, but there is too many horizontal blue lines there altogether for my liking.
My opinion - get rid of them all. Daniel

Personally, i would remove the stripes and paint the front pods white, but leave the blue on the skirts. Manifold has come up a treat though, looks good

Yeap kill stripes and colour code the blue bits IMO, or paint them the grey that is on FPV's.

because the blue bits are well, blue, you kinda need the stripes there cause otherwise it looks funny.
if you take them off, the blue bits need to go back to their respective white/greys

EDIT: Just looking again I thing it'd look great if you got rid of the stripes, painted the pods white but left the other blue highlights there. That's look quite trick IMO, it is your car though so in the end it is up to you.

i would loose the stripes! You could leave the other blue bits though. It's a XR8 220 which means the bits on the side skirts are different colour from factory anyway. My black one had the bottom half of the skirts and around the rear bar grey from factory so the blue might look alright
Edit: My badges were on that way around from factory tickford badge underneath its just your XR8 badge isnt straight

My thoughts:
The rub strips look at odds with the blue on the FTR 'kit highlights and front bar. Perhaps returing to the Meteorite highlights or go with blue rub strips. The AU has enough character to do without stripes, especially with the highlights on the skirts. If you do go BA XR badging I'd suggest placing them on the skirts and leave the Ticky wings alone above the side indicators, as otherwise they are too large on the front guard as replacement for the AUII/III XR8 badging. The engine bay has come up really really nicely, James.

Much better and I agree with Darky, the original grey highlights suit much better but we all have our choice's...
I'm not a fan of the BA XR8 badge as well, just isn't a right fit, too big. After fixing the gaurd badges think about the 220 badge on the lower skirt if you want more. I did it to mine thought it blended well, once I fined a pic will post for you.

Yeah looks 100% better. I would stick with the Au badges as well. Not a big fan of newer model badges on older cars. Never seems to look right. IMO
