hey all im getting a noise from my au ute im thinking its the wheel bearing when im going in a strate line there is a rumble sort of noise when im going arond a left hand bend the noise is gon ........the steering is all good and feels the same as allways no shudder and smooth as ,,,do you think its the back wheel bearing????? how do i chek if its the back or the front?? :

More likely front if the noise changes when turning.

Check your lower bushes... these can also make noises in straight lines...

normally if you drive only a smooth road and swerve from left to right at around 60kph say you should be able to pin/point the noise (ie when turning left if you can hear it then its the r/h one and vise versa)

i have the same problem mechanic said its my left hand front wheel bearing. is it louder when u turn right? if so it cos of the left hand side is under more load when u turn right.

i changed my left hand front wheel bearings(well hole hub) easy had no problems took 30mins. now its rolls better and is quiet
