Default turbo ute

hey guys, i am looking to turbo my series 2 xr6 ute in the next few months, have been sorting it all out with geoff from snort performance, was just wondering do u have to reposition the battery and cables when adding the turbo to the ford 6's or can u get away with leaving it how it is set up already?
Has anyway else put a turbo on the vct motor, if so how does it go?

Most people do reposition the battery to the boot, but it is possible to use a very small sealed type battery (eg Optima, etc). I hate my battery in the boot, as I lose valuable boot space, but being a ute, you shouldn't have that problem!

I may be wrong, but I think the VCT motor's have fairly high compression (or at least higher than a standard non XR motor), but as long as you keep boost reasonably low, have a good tune and a decent cooler, you'll be fine.
