i want to change the fuel filter ion my au2 ute. Any suggestions on the best way to do it?
I havent changed one since my old xf. Also where is it located in the au2 6cyl? Thanks in advance for the help : |

Located on the passenger side, inside of the chassis rail.
Is this to help your hiccup problem? Cause I changed the fuel filter, didnt stop my problem. |

yeah it is, i bought a fuel filter and some leads. i figure do the filter first, then the leads if no success.

i did think that, thanks guys!
so do i just unplug the old one and plug the new one in? i was just thinking today that if i do that i might get air in the fuel lines. |

Mine had 2 nuts to undo, some have this weird clip thing but with 1 nut.
You take the fuel pump fuse out, start it and wait for it to die, then give it one more turn. Replace filter, then put fuse back in and just do a few quick on & off motor running. |

also, usually if you leave it over night before you do it then not much fuel will come out anyway, then afterwards just turn the key on and wait till the fuel pump stops pumping, then it should start and run as normal
