Hey guys,
Are there any chances at all of a Mondeo being released in manual form (besides the XR5?). At the moment we are looking at the Mazda 6 but would take the mondeo into consideration if manual was an option. I heard "not 100% credible" that ford would have a manual diesel soon, any rumours like this?

The Auto's petrol's also cheaper than a Mazda manual. No Manual available or due anytime soon.

Demand for manuals in Europe is high, autos not so much, hence why we get auto.

Not entirely correct. Australia don't get left overs, they get what they order, it's just that they can't order enough cars each month.
the lack of manual on petrol and diesel would be purely a decision locally to not import them for whatever reason.
