That ad is confusing! Is it the scoop and snorkel, or just the scoop?

it's just a piece of tin you can make one yourself.

re-directs airflow that would otherwise not go directly into the snorkle,

i really doubt that you would have a noticable difference under normal driving conditions but every 1rwkw counts...

They want to charge you 35 bux for THAT??

Ad seems dodgy as...

CAI intake mods are effective, but that little scoop wont help with the ramming effect of the intake. If it was to work it wouldnt do much untill higher speeds anyway...

I believe a wide, open mouthed intake with a big throat and un-restrictive path is a better investment, and stick with that.

I made one using aluminium plate and cut out a section from the top of the grill frame. Prob does sweet FA around town and prob not much more at normal highway speeds, but who knows...like Fairmont4.0 says, every rwkw counts :-)

i think you are on the mark as i made up a piece of metal that you are talking about on my s1 tickford duel fuel and on gas it was ramming to much air into the balance pipe at 80kph and up causing it to lean out/misfire.soon as i took it back off problem when away.i believe it does ram more air in,but if it gives you any power gains im not sure.

Make one... I did and i reckon it works well highway kms makes a difference and get a typhoon/xr6 turbo intake cut a hole and fit it upside down and remove your lense protectors (i have an xr8) and that scoop with the new intake behind the lights, and a k&n pannel filter.. and you'll notice that a bit hey
