Default Proteck brakes and pads any good ?

i currently need new front brakes more so pads as the passangers side is around 1.5 - 2mm think (really bad i know)

i was woundering if anyone has used or delt with Proteck's range ?

i got quoted - $55 for a pair of pads
- $65 for each disc

i forgot to ask how much for slotted.. even tho i like the look better

is that reasonable or ? i never had to deal with brakes so not to sure on the price and stuff

let me know what u think

u sure its not protex????

Protex has released a new range of slotted and slotted and drilled rotors which are heat treated so there stronger and less prone to cracking. DBA 4000 or 5000 rotors are heat treated and apparently the metal used in the protex rotors are just as good or better than DBA.

There centre hubs are also painted but not sure what sore of ventilating the rotor has as DBA have the kangaroo design system which works well.

The protex rotors are very good and have an awesome build quality. We use them from time to time here at work, and have never had any dramas with them.

Same as the rotors. Good pad, not the best in terms of bite, but very good general purpose pad, with good life. Not known to squeal either, which is good.
