So this bloke sticks his Veyron into the water, and don't shut the engine off?

Imagine the costs to rebuild a hydrauliced W16...

I wonder if Bugatti would even sell this tool another engine for what he did to it? You're absolutely right though, why on earth did he leave the engine running for 15 minutes? He'd better pray that he was unconscious, or else I'll start a petition for vehicular murder; he murdered an absolute classic car.

The rear wing was up, so yeah I would assume the driver was doing a decent clip.

My mistake, the rear wing actually drops when you do high speeds (using the key in the special slot) so he wasn't going 250mph at least...

It is also applied when braking heavily to act as a parachute....seeing a lagoon in front of you, you would want to be braking pretty damn heavily!

Very true! I was thinking there was a separate air brake as well, so I forgot that the wing will come up as you slow down.

Either way, what a thing to do to such an awesome car.

summed it up nicely... wonder how much it would cost to replace all the wiring and other stuff that would be ruined by the water?

I bet it is written off as it is submersed in SALT WATER.
This would write any car off from an insurance companies POV as they could not guarantee that it can be repaired.

Would the Veyron even be made out of anything that rusts? He'll probably write it off as a loss, as he was looking at property when it happened, and order himself another one - with water activated airbags that pop out from just inside the wheels!

Wow. Another Veyron bites the dust eh. That's a total of 2 that I know of. I don't know if any others have been wrecked, but I do remember not long after they were released some idiot ran one into a tree.
I guess there's just way too many people out there with too much money and NO brain. :P
