Hi guys,
I got a Low battery warning from the car - first on one keyfob, then a couple of weeks later, it was the other one too. The strange thing was that the message said that immobiliser battery was low, not being straight up and saying your keyfob or remote central locking was low. I would not have expected the immobiliser to be constantly pulsing any signal, rather, it would be RFID or something passive. Anyway, I thought to let you know that cheap CR2032 batteries purchased from eBay work just fine! Just need a small-ish, thin flat head screwdriver to lever the remote apart (after you bumped the Ford badge off and removed the actual key). Cheers.
