Default Au3 xr8 auto gearbox

Hi all,has anyone noticed that their Au3 xr8 picks up another gear at just over 200kms knowing that it had already changed from 3rd to drive at about 160km, I thought they were a 4 speed with no overdrive.

More then likely the torque converter locking up.

Under normal driving it usally locks up around 80kph.

Torwue converter lockup. In the T series, Ford marketed it as a 5 speed auto box, which is a bit misleading.

Where are you able to hit 200 legally?
