Just curious at to the experience some of you may have had as i hear it aint good :(

I hope the people at ford come to this forum and get an idea on the public's opinion relating to ford service as well as advertising ect.
because they SHOULD.

Ive had a mixed bag. It depends on the dealers. Some are good some are bad like any work shop. My issues with Ford of Australia would come down to warranty rather than service.

Not a good question? Of course you are going to get mixed reviews!
A better question would be: Who are the reputable Ford dealers in your area?

I was a young bloke buying my first car, when I handed over the cheque the owner was like this better not bounce, but not knowing the guy could of been his humor.. But i felt like he acted smug towards me throughout the purchase..

However when I serviced it their they seemed alright. no problems their just well overpriced

Same here, different dealers different quality of service, had some issues with City Ford re them damaging my car during a service, and I had issues as they would not allow me to watch the service being performed (what are they trying to hide??)

Sinclair Ford Penrith nil issues, great service great price and a special FPV Service bay where you can enjoy your complementary coffee whilst watching your car get serviced with great care.

Highly recommend them, and I am a person that services all his own vehicles for the last 20 years, but these guys a so reasonably priced and work is so good that I really could not be bothered, and by the time I buy oil, filter and get dirty I would not be saving very much at all.

Ill agree somewhat with these sentiments, i always said my car will never be serviced by anyone but Ford, but my service manager at my dealer told them to stick it and isnt at Ford, but at another service centre so ill be going there. But Ford for warranty.
CRC ive never dealt with as i havnt had any issues with my new Focus.

Was taking mine to Peter Warren Smithfield and had no issues at all. Squeezed me in when this happened out of the blue. Unfortunately was getting too expensive otherwise I would still be taking it there.

I have used to 2 Ford Dealers for warranty items on my G6E Turbo.

First was Binks Ford in Deer Park and they were great just a little cagey as to whether the item I had reported was going to be covered by warranty which I didn't really understand but it was covered by warranty in the end.

No complaints what so ever with them

Second was Knox Ford most recently as the timing cover had begun a very slow weep of oil which I believe is quite common on FG's and they were brilliant. Explained to me that it is a common problem and that they'd need the car for the day (which wasn't a problem) and they'd ring when finished. They called before the time they quoted and fixed it on the day, during this they also noticed that an o-ring near the thermostat was leaking coolant, which I hadn't noticed and didn't report and he informed me that they had fixed that too. No charge, all covered under warranty.

Brilliant service!

My local dealer. Awful wallet burners.

On another note does anybody know decent dealers out in the East. My friend in Burwood has just joined the Ford family?

I had 3 company cars all purchased new through ford, athe first 2 had full log book servicing through out the ownership, the first 2 still had outstanding warranty issues when they were replaced

the reason the last one didnt is after getting it back from its first service with more ratterls and issues than when it went it I gave up I took the car to the mechanic that has looked after my familys cars for years, he informed me that a lot of the things I wanted fixed should be warranty and I should take it back there I explained that the last 2 cars still had warranty issues and that I would prefer to simply pay him to fix them, I got charged 2 hours labour and it was all fixed.

that car only ever saw a ford dealer one other time for a recall that the dealler once again stuffed up (brake peddle to the floor any one)

so ford service um no thanks

If you're in Melbourne, I'd recommend Essendon Ford. Very quick, professional service. Apparently they're australia's number one awarded Ford dealer.

I had my car recently serviced by a Ford dealer in the Morley area (WA) and after one of the worst experiences I have had regarding vehicle servicing I find it rather amusing that they call the people that you deal with 'Service Advisors' - yeah right, anything but! As well as the line under the Dealers name on the invoice "Twice the Dealer, Twice the Service", more like 'Twice the pain at Twice the price'. Wont ever be going back there again but will try Lane Ford as I have heard good things about them.

In effect, as above. Some are good and some are not.

Well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FORD CRC are the biggest joke I have ever had the misfortune od
dealing with, pathetic is the nicest treminology I can use

As for actual servicing of cars including fixing things under warranty
I had owned 11 new Falcons all in and around Sydney.
Generally they treat Company car owners like idiots who know nothing
about cars and make up stories about faults and noises

2 dealers only have met anything like acceptable service
FORD at Sutherland
FORD at Yallah Illawarra

Mother in laws Transit has been a nightmare for her.
One has to wonder how much Bryan Byrt Ford Capalaba contributed to the the problems when it goes in for a service and still comes out with the rear brakes metal to metal.
As well as a whole list of problems that they said they fixed and didn't.
She took it to another workshop and it was fixed straight away.
Her car needs replacing and was looking at a new G6E but after the way she's been treated is now looking at a top of line Mazda 6

Fords customer service is rubbish. So much so after numerous problems with a couple of cars and none of them being fixed in the end when i bought my new ute i bought a Mazda BT50 instead of a Ranger.

It's had it's issues but i don't have to sit there asking them to fix it.
Mazda do the right thing by there customers

i work for a automotive aftermarket organisation ,.... who is a major competitor to the dealers,.as such we service our own vehicles in house ,..recently took my 09 G6ET company car to Dominelli Ford at sutherland for the diff bushes and was pleasantly supprised ,..they did the job in a day ,....had great communication & even washed it ,....i would class that as excellent customer service ,..especially on a warranty job ,......most probably luck of the draw ,..... I must say the service adviser was most impressive,... that reminds me its going back tomorrow for a diff leak ,...hopefully ill strike the same guy.

Kloster Ford; this is interesting as I have heard of many people in the Newcastle area who won't go back to them. I have only been living here for a few years and never went to them because of what I had heard. Maybe they have hired/fired a few staff.

Where I work we have letters on the wall in our service department from HAPPY Customers and no, they are NOT 10 years old.
I believe that NO dealer sets out to do a bad service but there are always factors that are rarely mentioned by posters like, RUDE customers who think the delaer is there just to fix anything that happens to their cars, even if caused by the owner.

Dealers give good service just that people usually don't put up threads about good service, it is mostly DEALER bagging that is placed in these types of forums. Maybe people should look inwardly before they start typing.

To the original poster, just try a dealer and see ok? you may be surprised and find that the horror stories are mostly over statements.

I do all my own servicing and i can see why. When i bought my BA from the dealer it was a demo model that had done 5000ks so they would have done the 1500 oil change.
As i always do when i get another car i change the oil regardless. When i went to put the spanner on the sump bolt i found that i could undo the bolt with my fingers, could have turned out rather messy.
