Hi I wrote a similar thread yesterday but I can't find it so again I have a 1996 focus driving home it started to get hot then stopped and has never started again there is fuel at the fuel rail and spark at the plugs any idears

Don't mean to be a pain, but are you sure it's a 1996 Ford Focus? AS far as I know, manufacturing of the Focus didn't start until 1998...

Going off your first post it is a 1996 Ford Laser You say there is fuel and spark, is the engine actual turning over ?

Leave aside what car it is, If it got really "hot" you may have warped the head and lost compression. Lot depends on how long you drove it after it got "hot"
A compression test will tell you if you need machined head and head gasket |
