Morning all. New here.
About to take delivery of a new Focus: LW MkII Titanium Diesel. The photos in the brochure and on the Ford site show an iPod cable that appears to break into two parts (analogue audio and digital control??). Just wondering whether this is a 'stock' photo, and whether a standard/generic iPod to USB cable will be OK. (Full disclosure: it's a latest generation iPod Touch with Lightning Connector.) Or do I need this Ford cable (and a Lightning adaptor)? Thanks. Richard. |

You can use the cables that come with your phone, no need to purchase the ford cable.
I currently use the lightening connector that apple supplies. |

you might find it easier/better to buy a cheap usb stick and fill that up with music. i bought a 64gb stick for about $40 and it works a charm. much better than leaving an expensive ipod in the car all the time!

Unfortunately my audio books won't play off a stick (due to DRM). Nice idea otherwise!

I have the Ford cable, but it is only required if you have a very old ipod (as I do).
