Default Love the one you're with

Hi,

I've been driving a Camry around because I smashed up my GT.

Camrys are adequate. They get from A to B.

But after driving this generic car for a few days I really miss my Ford. Compared to the GT the Camry is just so... NOTHING. It's slushy, soft, mushy and bland.

The GT is sharp, lets you feel the road through the seat of your pants. It has power and accurate steering. It feels lighter than the Camry even!

One thing that the Toyota does very well: it makes me appreciate my 8 year old FPV.

Cheers Ford, thanks for an awesome car.

Ha comparing a bottom of the mill a-b car to a top of the range sports 4 door ....

Lol . But yes , we do take for granted what we have , until we drive something less .... Enjoyable ! I've been driving an Applause instead of Soarer as a daily for a few months now
, and when I drive the soarer on a weekend or race day , god I love it !!!

I know exactly how you feel

I hope your GT can be repaired. If not, time to shop for another ?

Yeah must admit, I got the same feeling when I was leant a brand new 335 GT-P when my Ferarri was in for service recently.

I mean really.. the Camry doesn't compare to an FPV? Who would have known.

Well it might have compared in, say, steering or comfort. Or even smoothness or ease of driving.

But I guess haters gonna hate and have a dig at any comments.

Have a nice day!

You haven't had it long Stace. It doesn't take long to get used to driving them and you can certainly notice how enjoyable they are to drive when you drive something else. When I drive the wife's Lancer the gearshift seems so loose and the body roll is evident. Not to mention the lack of push in the back.
I hope they do a good job and it still drives well

Nothing wrong with your comments mate. I feel the exact same way whenever I have to drive the Mrs Camry anywhere. Getting back into my car makes me appreciate why I bought it and love it so much (even though its not an expensive car by any stretch).

I feel the same way about my daily driver fg gt. When I hop out of that into one of my old gt's or ho's, especially the phase 3.
I'm not saying the fg is like a camry, but driving the fg 5 days a week takes away most of the magic and makes me really look forward to the weekends when I get one of the old bangers out.

You lucky bugger. What I would give to have that problem! I've only ever been n a XW GT a few times back in the 80s. Never even sat in a Pahse Three.

One Powerball...
