Default Oil sender switch

Hi All,
I have an XD GL wagon, had a 6 now a 302 clevo.
I want to change the instrument cluster to a sports cluster.
Do I need to swap out the existing oil sender switch which was for the low oil level light to suit the oil pressure gauge on the new cluster?
Cheers.

Yes, you'll need an oil pressure sender unit

If Clevo is currently working a light -sender will require charging to one that suits a gauge

Hi. It could have one of 2 different oil pressure gauges in it. An XD cluster used a 73-10 ohm sender(360-003) and the XE cluster used a 10-180 ohm sender (360-013). At around $100 a hit the best thing to do is hook up the cluster with the sender wire disconnected ann with the key on see where the needle points, then earth the sender wire and see what way the needle moves. If it goes up it needs the XD sender, if it goes down it needs the XE sender. You may need to get the tacho calibrated as well as a lot of those clusters were used in 6 cyl cars. Cheers MD
