I reset my ECU last night and I've done about 80-90km since then. I have noticed a faint whistling sound above about 1000RPM, like an AM radio in a car without proper interference suppression. It's more audible if I open the window so it's definitely not the radio!
I remember my EA engine also had this kind of whistle for a short period after the battery died and it was jump started... so I guess this is this normal until it relearns? I followed the procedure on aufalcon.com.au (d/c batt, idle in various trans/AC configs for 2 mins each) |

Any ideas? Seems to have calmed down now...
BTW everything is a lot more zippy now, the reset definitely made a difference! |
