ok so i got a new cluster with a tacho in it the other week and have been obsessed with it ever since. taking notice of what rpm at what speed and so on, should it be on 400rpm while ideling in gear and 600rpm in park and neutral?? seems a bit low to me

yes it is a bit low.
sometimes i can get the van to idle down to less than 100rpm even though its clearly idling at normal speed. check your idle speed with another source. |

the first line on the tacho is 500 rpm so im assuming its above this?

yeh I6. i dont think it really matters as the car has never cut out and it doesnt really sound sick to me. was just wondering if it was normal

My EB seems to idle around the 400rpm mark in gear. Strange, but like you, I've never had any issues with a rough idle, or it cutting or spluttering out.

yes on closer inspection i see that it is actually 700rpm. dont i feel like a dick. again
