Is there a huge price in premiums when extractors and exhaust systems are put on au 3 fairmont?
Im in the process (very slow process) of getting them on my car and i just want to make sure after doing them i won't be left out of pocket with higher insurance premiums. |

I'm with RACV, no extra charges for exhaust, extractors or lowering (when I get around to actually lowering it... but its already insured as lowered)

The way insurance normally works is that most companies let you have 3 mods (not all, but most). The premium doesn't change, but as soon as you go over 3 mods, it's bye, bye - off to find a new insurer.

i registered most of my mods as factory options ie: Tickford brakes (T series), Tickford Bodykit (Xr series), mags i cant value as factory, but that will chnage with the new engine :(

Sleeper - interior bits are generally included as accessories, not modifications. Things like Momo wheel and shifter, etc are all legitimate Ford options, so you should be OK. If you have a mega stereo, then they may count that as a mod. Depends on the insurance company.

Some places may allow a certain amount or certain dollar value of mods. Some mods are treated as accessories eg air con and won't affect your policy much.
Safest thing to do is ring around first. Generally speaking tho, those mods shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

AU3 Fairmont. you have to think like an insurance company.
If you put lots of (expensive) mods on your car and write it off, they have to pay more to replace the car to your insured version. On the other hand if you DONT tell them about any mods they have a legal way out of not paying you a thing (as you didn't disclose any/all mods) and some insurance companies will try to wiggle out of anything :-) Roger.

You should be fine I would assume. AAMI are pretty decent.
If in doubt, call them and ask. I did that before I did anything..and then changed to RACV as they were the better deal and because my old insurance company sucked (not aami).

The only things that are counted as mods on my policy is exhaust, 17" rims and lowering.
Everything else has been included as an option. Funny how aftermarket gas is an option. I'm with RACQ BTW.
