Question Exhaust For My EL

I know this is probibly a repost and has been posted heaps before but im putting this one up for some new, quick advice.

Within the next fortnight ill be getting my exhaust fitted. Ive asked a few people and they recermend the Pacemaker extractors and the Red back 2.5.
I dont know too much about the exhaust systems, so this is where you guys come in.

Ill be getting it fitted by Exhaust Fit in croydon (melbourne) so i want to know what to ask for.

Any input and recermendations would help :

Thanks Guys

Paul

Got another quote tonight, $1550 including
*Pacemaker Extractors (new chrome ones)
*Hi flow Cat
*New Cat
* Redback 2.5 inch Cat Back
*Labour inc instalation

This bloke said the quote i got for $850 would be incorrect as its way to cheap for the goods.

yer no need for comps unless you are after a REALLY high powered engine and have money to spend!

same goes to the cat, i have heard PLENTY of times that the falcon cats are good enough for mild engine mods

go with the $850 price at exhaust fix mate!

also another question for you guys (kinda personal taste)
should he get the rear muffler (resonator) removed for that extra noise!??

i have and have never looked back since

cheers

man that Pacemaker set up is cheap and chips..
xr8ute on here got pacmaker headers and cats ONLY for 1200...

if i was you i'd jump at the deal, plus paccies are rated one of the best..
not sure if it would done or not, would depend on pipe diameter i'd imagine..

Im after a little bit more performance and a noise. Do the Extractors help with fuel economy as well? At the end of the day i think its $850 well spent.

lol i love answering this question!

the result of the extractors + exhaust WILL help with fuel economy but the problem is that the margain gained with the immproved breathing is counted by the slight tendancy to accelerate harder because of the beautiful noise!!!
