does anybody know of places in melbourne that sell damaged cars apart from fowles and the other ones that have viewing times when ppl r working.
what im after is a eb onwards that has been smashed in the *** as i only want dash forwards. im gonna see hwo much of it i can get into my capri and it has to be a 5ltr. i want a manual but dam they r hard to find so a auto would be ok i suppose then i would need a manual ecu and box from somewhere. thanks Lee

I was actually down at Fowles on Tuesday and it would seem that you can now bid online, they even have pics of the cars and all. Good if you have access to a comp but cant get to the auction.

its is a good idea but i drive a truck and 50% of the time im in the country vic.
bummer for me again i will go to pickles and see what they have i saw a el model ltd there with rear damage and a au xr8 with bad damage aswell. is there much difference in the 2 motor the el 5 ltr and the au 5 ltr????

A fair bit. AU engines are a much better base. Better heads, better manifolds, better TB, better MAF. Cam isn't the best but that's easy to fix. The exception are the E-series GTs, XR8 Sprints and EL2 XR8s. Although the chances of those popping up at auction are slim.
Of course if you wanted I'd be more than happy to swap E-series stuff for any AU go fast bits! |
