Just wondering what amount of fuel people have squeezed into their E series.
Today I filled up the XR6 with 64.99L at the first click. That meant I had 3 litres left in the tank :

I think its between 60 and 65 litres not 100% sure thought it was always around that area? I used to try work it out but these days i just concerntrate on the price rather than the quantity!

74.5 litres in my EA at one time. I believe the goodz has also filled it up to almost 75 litres.

All this fuel talk for a porper like me is slightly depressing, I'll just go to the corner of my room to rock back and forward, gently repeating; "The fuel prices will go back down, they will!".

Don't forget there is a handful of extra litres to be found in the fuel filler piping etc, thus the possibility of filling over 68..

If I filled over the tank size I'd be ranting and raving to the servo. There's no way in hell a car will run properly with only the fuel in the lines.

Didn't ford quote the fuel tank size as "useable size", therefore the fuel tank is larger than 68ltrs for a sedan???
I have put in 68ltrs into my car with 40kms still on the trip computer.

I've got a receipt here that has nearly 73 litres on it and it cost me $107.
Can anyone beat that?

As Rmyers said I've managed to get 75, or 75.2 to be exact... That was before prices were so ridiculously high...

Are you guys talking about the first click? Or are you dribbling the last couple of litres in?

Mine was 2 clicks of the handle. I ran the Fairmont Ghia for 25kms after the trip computer told me there were 0 kms to go.

I used to have a horrible habbit of running the tank down to nothing, but the worst I ever managed was 73 litres in the tank. Bit of a worry...
You should hear the bloody pump now :( |

I put 70 litres into my 68 litre tank. When I went in, the trip computer said I had about 12 kms left in the tank. I usually fill up when it's down to a quarter though
