same question I faced...

I like the grill better..lol..but I guess you can change that. Perhaps knowing you have an EL......um....apparently the glass is thicker in EL's too.

Theres not alot different that I know of, do a search, there should be a few threads on the topic.

- The leather trim is different. Looks better and is more durable than the EF
- You get the fancy chrome work in the bars on the EL and better looking windstrips
- The nicer rear garnish
- Nicer/more modern pile carpet
- Buttons, seatbelts/buckles and stereo colour coded to match trim colour
- Better looking wheels

Those are the main points that would make me go a EL over a EF2, but there were a host of other changes (700+) Ford made that make the EL a much better choice.
