Default What should I expect to pay for certain services

Hi

I was just wondering what different car servcies should cost? I have been changing my own oil and filter for the past three years, and I got quotes that ranged from $160-190 for the same thing. Is this too expensive?

I am asking because it has been three years and 100 000 since my last proper service, so I am wondering what I need to get done? I was going to take it to one of the above places for a thorough servcie, but then they told me the prices for just the engine oil and filter change - aarrrgghhh!!! Is this the norm now?

So what is it that I should have changed/replaced at this stage? I am booked in for an LPG conversion in three weeks, and I have just had my brakes done, so what else should I have looked at?

The car is a 97 EL Futura Stationwagon, auto, 270 000

Cheers

Shaun
