Default EB-I Farimont interior into EB-II Falcon

Hey

(hope this is the right section and im sure its been asked many times but i couldnt find any info, any links to previous discussions on this would be a huge help)

I have a EB II Falcon and the interior is pretty ****, i have the opertunity to pickup a complete EB-I Fairmont with minor accident damage as a donor car with very clean interior.

how much of this is a direct swap into the falcon ? im talking door trims, seats, centre console even the entire dash (if the electronic dash and climate control will work considering the EB-I is the 3.9l and the EB-II is the 4.0l will the electronic dash and all sensors be the same?)

anything else worth swapping? cruise control e.t.c

only interested in whats a direct swap as the fairmont is still fully driveable i have everything i need to swap over.

thanks for any help!

Door trims wont fit properly, the EBIs had only a 4in speaker hole, compared to 6in on EBII.
I wouldnt count on the dash wiring working either.
Theres a reason why the workshop manual has different wiring schematics for EA-EBI and EBII-ED.

damn well thats a disappointment!

i was hoping at least to get the door trims and seats swapped over :( is the speaker holes the only reason they won't fit ? i mean i think the speaker is in a different location but the door trip itself should still fit right ?

i could swap the whole doors over but its a different colour :(

can anyone else with experience give any input as the above 2 people contradict each other.

I removed my message as he is putting small speaker trims in a big speaker car, but overall should not matter too much, just try it.

yeah im not to fussed... the car is my daily so its still got the stock stereo, no big plans for stereo upgrades so long as i can hear something, and i could always cut the holes out bigger if i decide later down the track.

just having the nicer, cleaner interior is what im after.

thanks guys.

no one can comment on the centre console (with the auto gearstick being compleatly different) or the dash wiring ? any engine parts worth keeping as spares from the 3.9l ?

are the brakes swappable or an upgrade at all from the fairmont ?

Seriously Chris, this isn't the first time you've given misleading information... :
