looks nice, but reminds me too much of a early 00-01 celica.

Im sure the popularity amongst the current 6 owners will be there.

I've got one currently and its a brilliant bit of gear.....hope the new model has a little more punch.

The 2.3 litre is a ripper around town but once your over the ton it starts to loose its sparkle. ......no i don't have the 6MPS

Mazda are coming up with some great designs, and i do like this update a lot.

Love the detail in the lights, front and rear.

That was my first impression as well.

Will have to see the thing in the flesh to make a proper call.

Mazda are really doing a great job at the moment. I'm betting it will drive as well as it looks. The old one wasn't a bad looking car but this new one is so much better

I recently purchased a Mazda 6 classic sedan with 6 speed manual for my wife & can say they are Fantastic vehicles however am not so sure I think this new model is so far ahead of current model.
Will have to see it in the flesh.
As for running out of puff past a ton, do you mean 100 k's or 100 mph as can also tell you it has plenty of go way past 100 k's & if you mean 100 mph who cares as you should not be doing that anyway.
I have not tried but reckon it would see 180 k's with a constant surge & after that run out of puff a bit but again does that matter?

That looks horn. I like.

My Aunty and Uncle bought a early 07 Mazda 6, and boy it's a wonderful piece of equipment.

Fairly gutsy too. Even in the N/A 2.2L version.

Looks very nice. I quite like the Mazda 6 thats out now, but it was so obvious that the round lights that it had would date very quickly, which I think they did.

This is great though.

I don't see any Camry in it at all. There is a hint of the Lexus IS in profile and the rear lights have a similar outline to the current Chrysler Sebring.

Other than that it looks fantastic!

Will be a good run for the Mondeo; can't wait for the comapo drives.

Does anyone know the timing for the RX8 replacement?

I quite like the interior, not overstated and not plain but the exterior looks awful IMO. I guess I have a loathing for the peeled back headlights and round front. Might look better in the flesh.

Mazda improved its image years ago from rather plain cars to ones that are style properly. The Mazda 3's sales are a testament to that.

This styling will help them as the images I think will have a fair impact on potential buyers. It comes down to personal preference on what people want out of the Mondeo or 6...I await the comparisons from several of the "experts"
