The problem with interior lights is that Blue is the Brightest at night and always looks the best.........

BUT Do you still have the std orange coloured dash or have you changed that?

white lights FTW. I used white CCFLs under the seats in my EL, they worked a treat, got many compliments too.

i have a silver fairmont.
i put a blue neon which can be set to beat to the music on the rear parcel shelf.
its sweet as cos it lights up my ford sticker at the top of the window and the whole rear window surround. i also have a blue ford towel on the rear seat and blue xenon headlights so it was the obvoius choice!

Is it possible to try the colours out before you buy? I know that probably sounds strange but some places might let you (I do say some)..

Autobarn let me try the red LEDs in my parker lights before I bought them.. and I decided that red is the obvious colour now.

For you though, I would probably try the green first (simply cos that would go with your car).. Blue might look ok too but you also should try to colour match the outside with the inside and the inside with the lights..

Have fun

I have a shockwave BAXR6 and I have changed all the interior lights to blue LEDS. Some may say it's ****y but I like it. The whole interior now lights up blue, took a bit of getting used to but i like it.
Have a look on ebay there are hundreds of LEDS there in most colours thats where i got mine. (average about $2 per globe) There are the wedge bulbs as well as festoon bulbs there.
I have also put blue LEDS in the parkers and on the back number plate lights looks great at night. Cost me bout $30 to get 10 globes (with postage)
If your car is green I would suggest green LEDS so they dont look out of place. Also what colour is your interior? think about what colour it will make with different colour lights.

Get on ebay and do a search for T10 LED and have a look from there. Good luck

Green Leds would be the best...........

Everyone has blue and blue would look out of place on a green car

For example BLue Led Washers on the Bonnet of a Green Car - looks wrong but Green Led Washers on a Green Car would rock.............

PS And why did Aeron_EF8 vote for every option?

honestly Pat i would go with the green LED sticks from autobarn.
i made the mistake of going blue with my red car. it looks better now coz i moved them to the golvebox and in the boot not at the feet.

hope that helps.

hmmm im still undecided.... i dont wanna over do it on the green as im planning to colour code some of the interior so i dunno how it will go....
i guess if i just buy 2 lights i can test em out and if i dont like em i can change em.

the plan is to secure them under the dash, double sided tape them to the plastic mould at the rear of the front seats and im toying with the idea of cutting a section out of the tail gate trim and secure one in the tailgate (facing into the boot) behind some clear plastic or something so it lights up the boot.

question is.... where under the dash can i put them? the only place i can c is right under the dash on the firewall which i dont wanna do coz they will get kicked... keep in mind EF.

troy how was blue a mistake?

thanks in advice guys...

I voted multicolour just so you can 'tune' the shade to match the car. Many green LEDs might be too 'yellow', so adding a bit of blue would improve it...

They are called Wedge Globes - Size T10 - come in different versions - look like this - what ever you do DONT get the led that just signs in on direction as then you will just have a dot of blue in your parker lol

Not allowed anything on the outside, while the car is on a road. Not allowed anything ON on the inside while driving.

At the base of the glove box there there is a little lip where two bits of plastic join. I just put a couple of small holes in and used cable ties at each end of the tube. get you a pic in the morning

I have also done the back seats just cable tied them to some metal bit that looks like its part of the seat adjuster.

The brightness is fine but still lights everything up nicely. Only thing to watch is a bit of reflection on the windows in the doors but its not that bad

1 wire from battery+ with inline fuse to a switch, then wire all tubes in parallel, and earth them to the body. Just use speaker wire coz its like 2 cables in one and you will be able to earth them all at the same spot.

those cigarette adapter things are hell sh!te, just makes the job look cheap n nasty.

i tried to get a pic for u but you cant really tell much from it

yeah im thinkin just tap into cigarette lighter for +, cut the plug in off each light, connect + to switch and earth somewhere behind the dash.

sorry no pics, camera phone just dont cut it!

final decision = BLUE
