You'd hope so.
But knowing FPV it could just as well turn out to be just another anticlimactic similar looking model with different seats again..... |

FPV Territory probably
Though i praying for an FPV Fairlane, but my chances of seeing that are nill given how much of a killer the new Caprice is.

Another vote for FPV Territory- no way it would be a wagon, live axle, diminishing market soon to be completely superceeded by RWD Territory
Couldn't be anything else unless a super-pursuit style Tornado.........

I'd say I6T Terri also.
Tempest sounds too much like Tampax for my liking. |

I saw what looked like an XT spec falcon today with a weird badge on the back... It flew past me pretty quick (on the hume towards ford/fpv) I didn't quite catch what this weird badge said, but it could have been tempest now that I think about it...
EDIT - The badge was script style like the Force6/8, but it didn't say force...

Has it ever been established whether the Typhoon was named after the weather event or the WWII fighter....
Tempest is also WWII fighter |

Yeah...can't really go with that one as it says 'F6' Tempest. As in 6 cylinder. I'll throw my support behind the Territory Army. This should look hot, and hopefully draw some attention away from the VE, even if it's only a little bit |

Hawker Typhoon Hawker Torando Hawker Tempest (Also under the Hawker range, but not yet used names by FPV are: Hawker Hurricane, Hawker Hector, Hawker Henley, & Hawker Hotspur) Are the BOSS engines not the Ford V8 Hurricanes used in the F-Series trucks? hmm... WW2 planes seem to just keep popping up....

Hopefully a Territory TS based Turbo, but then I'd think T6. More likely the Fairlane.
Perhaps it would be a junior version of the Force6 based on say Futura/Fairmont rather than XR. Hurricane wasted on Courier - should have been Turbo Ute Pursuit |

Isnt the RS allegedly based on a Volvo 6 Cyl? Could well be a Focus F6 Tempest...? hahaha... More to the point though, it is likely to be a Territory, released at next years melbourne motor show....... |

I would love to see a F6 Coupe.. never gonna happen though. Hmm wonder what it is, my guess with fords budget would be an upgraded typhoon, like a few more KW's and torque and a few more gagets

I am fairly sure Happy Jack stated some time ago the Typhoon/Tornado nomenclature was derived from a "spinning wind" motif.
Tempest would follow that trend and the "F6 Tempest", I suspect, would suggest another 6 cylinder vehicle. It has also been stated that FPV were not producing a Territory but they have been known to fib before, e.g. "we are not making a FPV version XR6T" was told to me personally by one of the design team. I am also vaguely aware of a "new Ford vehicle that I would probably buy" that has 5 seats, will not be Falcon based and will be delivered in '07/'08. No further details as I have lost contact with the original source. I did push the "RHD Mustang" line but got nowhere. |
