Hey guys, Just woundering what brand of leads you recomend, bought a set of bosch super sports abot a month back, finally got around to chanhing them today. First time I've done the leads on a AU 6, but after about an hour was ready to turn the key, and it ran like a bucket of crap. Had a look at the terminals and they are absolute shite! All off them are out of shap, some are covered buy the rubber. So I put the old ones back on and after 2 and a bit hours she's back to running normal. Anyway back to the point what leads are the go?

Yeah, there the right leads they just don't seem to be good quality. they fit and all, but some wern't connecting as the terminals were covered with ruber, some conected ok but most were too loss or to tight. I f'ed around with 'em for a while, removing ruber, and reshapin terminals with long nose pliers, but in the end got the s h it s and put the old ones back on. First and last time I get bosch leads.

Have found this with other leads ... the rubber boots over the centre cores don't allow them to reach the top of the spark plug ... the rubber boots can be pushed back up the lead a bit with a bit of force ... but when installing them ... make sure you feel them "pop" over the end of the plug ... should hear a little click/pop sound when it is in place.
I had this issue with my current set of leads ... had to swap them for another set of the same model (suspect the label on the packet was for an E-series though ... not A-series). Compared the distance from the end of the boot to the start of the core in the lead ... on the new ones and the current ones on your car. Check the new leads if you need to swap them and make sure you get the ones with the right clearance.

the leads from supercheap come pre packaged as you buy them..
its picked out of a box into a tote/pallet then sent to the store then unpacked... so it is a manufacturing fault.. im currently using bosch leads on my lane and they are going fine!

I've had a set of bosch leads for the wrong car from SCA before... no elbows on the coilpack end and the suckers didn't fit
So either Bosch stuff it up or someone plays with the boxes, they're not sealed. Took them back and got a refund, went to another shop and bought topguns No problems since |
