Default Sbr 3up Supercar Ride

had the ride of my life on tuesday, went in SBRs 3 seater supercar with james courtney at the wheel it was absolutely awesome, i was straped down tight so my head got thrown around a fair bit but i loved it. the grip was awesome as were the brakes and that 6.0L 700hp v8. has anyone else been for a ride in it

It is a 6.0L V8 with about 700hp, mainly to compensate for the extra weight of the two passengers and extras like seats, etc.... Mainly to try and keep the performance close to the real thing.

I've had the pleasure of a ride in the SBR 3 seater (Ingall driving) and it was a absolute ripper!! By far the thing that blew me away was the braking. I couldn't believe how violent it was. :

Here's a link to a video of my run in it. Link 13Mb

Looks like fun. I was planning on doing something similar using a $500 gift voucher I have with Red ballon days http://www.redballoondays.com.au/experience/SCE001
Anyone tried these?

Yep I went for squirt earlier this year with Seto at the wheel. It was certainly worth the dollars to experience what they are really like.

They also use a 6 litre to keep revs down so they don't have to keep rebuilding them all the time like they do the 5 litre race engines. Helps keep the costs down a bit as well as compensating for the extra weight as you said.

I went for a ride in an AU V8 supercar a few years back at mallala, not one of the promo jobs but one of the deadset race cars, unbelieveable, bouncing of the kerbs on 2 wheels, the brakes, my god, the brakes... you just cant describe them

Was going to mention that it didn't sound as if the revs were as high as they normally sound! I guess thats why!!!

The 5 litre race engines need the heads rebuilt from memory every 2000kms. Bottom ends usually every 5000kms. Keeping the revs down stops them from having to replace the valve springs so often as they are usually the weak link.

SBR had 4 cars at Eastern Creek last fri & dad got my fiance' a ride for xmas. She was going to be going in the 3 seater with seto but ended up in Marcos' old ba with Luke Youlden.

She enjoyed it but thought he went slow, though it could have been because it was raining. Wish I could of gone again with it raining this time.
