Default Radiator Caps

i went to buy a radiator cap for the Fairlane today. i found that there are 2 types, one is for a recovery system 135kpa, the other just says radiator cap 120kpa. my old one is 120. my question is why is there two listings? all AU's have a recovery system. i bought the standard one as it is the right 120 kpa.

am i right or wrong?

Is the cap AU specific? or is there a large list of cars that it will fit?

I would have bought the one that has the valve for the recovery system myself

When it hits 135kpa it opens and allows the fluid to drain into the recovery system. Thats how i understand it anyway

AUs have the recovery system under the cap, not after the cap, if that makes sense. ie, old recovery systems still had a cap on the radiator, and a valve that opened which let water into a hose that went to a coolant resevoir. The AU has 2 hoses going to the resvoir, which itself has the cap.

If you use the 135kpa rated 1, it meens there is a lager pressure built up before the cap lifts - releasing pressure. It might not cause any hassles, or it might result in a busted resivour tank
