Default My new love, My Bargain, My First Post.

Hi guys this is my first post on this website.
i purchased a 1996 EL Fairmont on monday.

160 000 kms, emaculate condition, interior is beautiful.
took it for a drive up the highway today Kangaroo Valley NSW.

SO smooth, runs beautifully.

here's some pics.

these are just on my phone,
im actually getting a decent camera onto it this weekend.

my plans at the moment is to keep it stock for a while cause its in perfect/brand new condition.. maybe in a year or so i might lower it put some wheels and have a go on the performance of the engine.
At the moment im just loving the feel of a bueatiful looking stock Ford.

Thanks for letting me share my new love.
Im looking forward to lots of fun with this lovely peice of machinary!

Shane.

Nice car mate.

Just a tip, when i got my EL fairmont it had those rims and i found that if you remove the black dust covers from behind each rim they look heaps better. You can see the disc rotors and they don't look like hubcaps. Just something you can consider before you get new alloys for it etc....

cheers.........

I'd knock the black plastic out too, though like shuresm58 said the rest of the rims will accumulate brake dust but hey a lil attention when you wash it and is all cool. The monts are brilliant, and I agree keep it fairly stock looking simply cos it attracts lots more cop attention if you go that way and plus why mess up a good thing. Thats why i simply had the XR6 suspension and 16 inch FTRs on my 96 EF mont which is all i plan to do. But yeah looks a good buy

thanks guys, ill be trying as hard as i possibly can to keep it in this condition.
its a bit of a head turner actually, pulled up at a servo and a BA XR owner told me it was in great nic.
Very pleased always wanted to own a EL and now ive got one!!!

the quater lights on the front makes it look pretty sexual at night.

Very nice. Another Regency EL Fairmont : Get some EL xr8 wheels and lower it a tad and our cars could be twins (no really, they'd be identical lol)

Looks good mate, like a mirror image of my old mans EL, except yours has driving lights... They are an awesome car, i got used to it pretty quick, and felt alot more responsive than the XR8 i had...
It looks like you have the same velour interior too...
