What car?????? Dexron 2 or 3 for most but ford EL onwards use a special fluid..

AU will require the special fluid.It is a gear oil ,See below for castrol or can buy from ford too

Supercheap has the stuff for AU's. I use the Valvoline Ford Falcon Power Steering stuff, its easy to spot it has a picture of an AU XR on the front and states its only suitable for EL onwards Falcons. Its different to the standard green Power steering fluid or the Red Dextron fluids it has the consistancy and look of manual transmission fluid.

i just got back from supercheap gee looks like motor oil
well i was just about to pull the rack out seal leaking No just the main oil line
came undone do know how its never been out
i had the car s new o well thank god it was not the rack

It is actually a 75\85 synthetic gear oil. 1st time i used it in a BA i thought it was strange but it works .Wonder why ford went to that?????
