Tell me about it ... thank god for strong driving lights I say ... otherwise I'd have had a chunk of coal through the windscreen.

a friend had a rock flick up from his back tyre and passed thru his alloy tray on an HQ tonner...

it left a similar type hole

chunks of metal fall off trucks, trailers and utes all the time

im sure that the hole and the scratches at the same time. i washed the car a week before that and there was nothing, then found the hole when i took the photos.

there was a car in front, but a fair way in front, id say 50-60 meters. No trucks around at all, no over passes, underpasses, birds, cats, dogs, cows.

thanks for all your input. its very strange i'm not sure.

Strange, I can't possibly think of anything else but a bullet either. Is there any damage/marks in the engine bay?

Or maybe whatever scared you while driving made the scratches and the hole happened at another time?
